Mariko Kouda (Japanese: 國府田マリ子 Kouda Mariko) is a Japanese voice actress for the Pokémon anime.
Biography
Kouda was born on September 5, 1989, in Miyashiro, Saitama, Japan. She graduated from Kasukabe Kyōei High School and became a communications major at Tamagawa University in Machida, Tokyo. After graduating from college in 1990, Kouda became a voice actress, singer, and radio personality as an adult. She was once affiliated with the J-pop voice acting group Drops, which has since disbanded. Kouda became involved with the Pokémon anime during the original series, voicing recurring character Sakura, a Kimono Girl. She is currently affiliated with the talent management firm Aoni Production. She announced her marriage in 2003.
